As an artist I like to experiment. I have a strong imagination but my vision is not deeply abstract. I like forms and objects that connect to reality with a hint of fantasy.
Ten years ago I fell in love with the island of Zakynthos. Since then I have been passionate about painting nature. I capture beautiful views in a moment of time and paint my vision from memory. For me, it is exciting to transmit the feelings that I had and the energy of great scenery.
I love to paint in watercolour and oil. Watercolours enable more spontaneous expression. Oils are intriguing, romantic and even a little bit mysterious.
My Story
As a young girl, I grew up in Sofia during communism. Later, during political and economical instability, I chose to study economics instead of art, which helped me to build a career. My first exhibition came in Mexico, where I lived for several years. During this period, my style was mystical and abstract. My exhibitions included one at the Bulgarian Embassy in Mexico City.
Since returning to Europe my style has become more natural and romantic. Here I have exhibited in Sofia and Zakynthos.
I love the sea. My favourite painting color is blue. I strive to paint with the energy and joy of nature, so when you look at my paintings you can imagine that beauty and atmosphere.
